2016 LOWC Holiday Party

Mark your calendars for a fun event on Saturday, Dec 10th starting at 6:00 pm.  Spouses/significant others are welcome. 

This will be a pot luck so we ask you to bring some food and a bottle of wine to share.  Along with some good food and good conversation, we will have karaoke and billiards.  Also, if you would like to participate in a white elephant game gift exchange, bring a one gift between you and your significant other.

Please RSVP to Minita by December 1st and sign up for a food item to share in one of the following categories: appetizers, side dishes/salads, main dishes, and desserts. 

Two days before the event, we will share the location with those who have RSVP'd to attend.

SAVE THIS DATE - LAKE RUN 2017!

Lake Oswego Women's Club will host the 41st Annual Lake Run!  This is the biggest fundraiser we hold which helps us to support our charities.

Last year was a huge success with 1,351 runners and over $20k in contributions given to our charities and several scholarship recipients.

Work has begun on the preparations for 2017 Lake Run. 

• Virginia Rubin has agreed to share the management responsibility with me. 
• The Lake Run team has been identifying key areas that need Captains and filling these positions.  
• Several club members have stepped up again to repeat their service from last year. A big thank you to all of you!
• The team has voted on the below new logo for 2017. 

• Required permits have been submitted to the city.

• Monthly meetings have been scheduled to ensure our progress is on track.  It will be the 2nd Tuesday of every month.  Contact Fran if you're interested in joining the Lake Run team!

• We have about $6k in Sponsorship funds committed for 2017 so far but much more to come!  See sponsorship information below if you are able to help.

Please join in and help make our 2017 Lake Run even a greater success than 2016.  We need everyone working together to make it happen!

Volunteer at Ronald McDonald House

In many communities and cultures, it is traditional for friends and neighbors to prepare meals for loved ones who are caring for a sick family member. For families who stay at Ronald McDonald Houses, they are often far away from family, friends and other support systems who would normally help them through a difficult time. Our compassionate volunteers fill this role, and provide home-cooked meals and freshly baked treats to our families.

Cooking meals is one of our most popular volunteer programs, and provides an opportunity for friends, families and co-workers to build a menu and a meal to share.

Come join us to volunteer cooking food at the Ronald McDonald house. Space is limited so if interested in participating in this event, please contact Debbie.
