In many communities and cultures, it is traditional for friends and neighbors to prepare meals for loved ones who are caring for a sick family member. For families who stay at Ronald McDonald Houses, they are often far away from family, friends and other support systems who would normally help them through a difficult time. Our compassionate volunteers fill this role, and provide home-cooked meals and freshly baked treats to our families.

Cooking meals is one of our most popular volunteer programs, and provides an opportunity for friends, families and co-workers to build a menu and a meal to share.

Come join us to volunteer cooking food at the Ronald McDonald house. Space is limited so if interested in participating in this event, please contact Debbie.

Lake Run Sponsorship is OPEN!

We have officially started our sponsorship drive for the 2017 Lake Run. Please talk with your friends, family and any businesses that you frequent to let them know that the opportunity to partner with the Lake Run is now "OPEN". If you know of a business that is interested in being a part of the 41st Annual Lake Run event, please contact Lisa Rainer (503-307-5400) for more information. You are also welcome to distribute the attached sponsorship information sheet to give people an idea of the benefits they receive for their contributions! A Memorable Lake Run

That's the number of runners we're going for this year to make the 41st Annual Lake Run a great community event and a successful fundraiser.

Lake Run registration is now open and our ad is up on the Racecenter website as well as in their print magazine.

The Lake Run logo, which you'll be seeing on all promotional materials and on the t-shirts, looks fantastic. The logo colors are a knock-out and we expect the purple t-shirt color we've chosen will enhance them even more.

The Lake Run team had their kick-off meeting on November 15th and we are very focused, energized and ready to make this another memorable Lake Run. All key positions are filled but we can always use more help. We'd love to have you join us. Contact us at Lake Run 2017.

General Meeting Recap

On November 12th, we brought in representatives from CASA, Clackamas Women's Services (CWS) and Children's Center. Each representative did a short but effective presentation on their respective organizations. We were all so moved and really touched. LOWC has supported these wonderful organizations for many years and it is great to hear how we make such a difference.

Thank you to all 3 organizations for coming to our meeting and enlightening us with your true stories. We also met two wonderful ladies that day who have now joined and become members. A shout out to Connie and Christine (and all the new members) - welcome!
