Lake Run Sponsorship
If you know of anyone who might be interested in having a booth at the Lake Run or having their logo on the marketing materials or race t-shirt, please contact our sponsorship chair, Nancy Nolin.  Please feel free to forward the attached information about the Lake Run Sponsorship benefits too!  The more money we raise, the more we are able to give away!

LOWC Directories

If you don't have one yet, please contact your committee chair and they can make arrangements to get one to you! We'll also have the directories at all upcoming events. Email Lisa Rainer and I can leave one on my front porch for you!

Volunteer to help with LO READS
For many years, the Lake Oswego Women's Club has volunteered to help the Lake Oswego Reads program.  On Friday, February 26th from 4:30 to 8:00 pm, members of LOWC will join together to help decorate for the event, welcome participants, take tickets, serve dessert, and clean up.  Mark your calendars if you'd like to participate in this fun volunteer event and please contact Lisa Rainer to sign up.  More details will follow to those who are signed up!  Provisionals - we would love to see you help out at this event, please see the email from Debbie Kutnyak.

Lake Run Marketing is Stepping it up
Keep your eyes open, our PR group has been busy!  There is (or will be soon) information about the Lake Run:
1) In the Race Center magazine, on the Race Center website and via race center eNewsletters.
2) In the LO Review and West Linn Tidings along with a few other local area papers.
3) On the LO Review website with a flashing "tile ad".
4) In Fleet Feet's bi-weekly email blast (to 15,000 people) and on their website.
5) On flyers and yard signs being placed around town.

Do you have a yard with lots of traffic visibility?  Would you be willing to put a Lake Run yard sign in your yard for a couple of weeks?  Want to help deliver Lake Run flyers to local (or not so local) area businesses on your own timeframe?  Contact Lisa Rainer and she'll get you "hooked up"!  Thanks for your willingness to help make this year's event the best it can be!

St. Honore Coffee

Minita, Lisa R, DeLoris, Jane L, Fran

On January 22nd, ladies gathered at St. Honore to catch up, share some laughs, and of course, some coffee!!  Join us anytime you can make a social event.  They are a fun, easy way to keep up with what is going on in the club!

Lake Run Update!

The Lake Run Team is busy working on all the details for a successful 40th Anniversary Lake Run.  Each month, we meet and discuss status of key areas, as well as, volunteer for added responsibility.

We have two raffle items this year:
  • A sports wagon will be filled with gardening tools, plants and flowers. All the things a gardener uses and enjoys. Thank you Ann!
  • A Blazer basketball autographed by all the players on the team. I am sure there are some Blazer fans that will be interested in this keepsake!  Thank you Sunita!

We have voted on the color of the shirts.  They will be green, blending nicely with this years Lake Run logo.

We implemented  a "take five plan" to ensure we are getting cards and flyers distributed.  Each team member, each month, takes a minimum of 5 advertising pamphlets to spread the news!  Fantastic effort!

Coming soon..........Volunteer sign up.  Please be sure you sign up and help make this years' run the greatest ever!

Donating 180 pieces of jewelry

2016 is the 3rd year Lake Oswego Women's Club have created custom jewelry to donate to Abby's Closet.  The mission of Abby's Closet is to inspire confidence and respect in high school women by providing free formal gowns for proms.

We are ready to make delivery of 180 pieces this year.  The girls get to choose one piece of jewelry to match the donated dress they pick out for the prom.

A volunteer request will come out from Abby's Closet to help at the event which is held on April 2nd and 3rd. Minita and I helped out last year in the jewelry section.  It was a very rewarding experience to help put a smile on the face of these very grateful young ladies. Please consider signing up for a shift at the event.

Thanks to all that participated in the jewelry donation!
