Happy 2016 Ladies!
I hope you all had a fabulous time with family and friends
over the holiday break. Our kids were
certainly thrilled to wake up to snow and to get an extra day off of school
too!
Getting back to LOWC and the Lake Run!
The Lake Run preparations are in full swing, as are our requests for sponsors for the event. If you know of anyone who might be interested in having a booth at the event or having their logo on the marketing materials (or race t-shirt). Please contact our sponsorship chair, Nancy Nolin for more information or to get copies of the sponsorship flyer! The more money we raise, the more we are able to give away!

chair and they can make arrangements to get one to you! Also, we'll have the directories at all upcoming
events, and I am also happy to leave them on my front porch (contact Lisa Rainer) if you would like to pick one up!

As we begin using the new directory it is a good time to remind everyone that LOWC is not a business or networking club. The personal information in the directory should be used for LOWC purposes only and should not be used or made available for commercial or solicitation purposes. Please respect each others privacy and protect this information as you would your own. The 'yellow pages' section of the book is where you are able to list your business information for other members to find. Thanks for your understanding.
Holiday Party Happiness
The LOWC Holiday Party was fabulous! Special thanks to Sunita and her husband "Bugsy" for letting us use the room at the Holiday Inn Express and also to Minita for coordinating the fabulous food/caterer and decorations for the evening. Also, a special thanks to those who helped with the set-up, decorating and clean-up. You all did an amazing job! The group enjoyed great food and beverages, did a white elephant gift exchange, was serenaded by the LOHS Windjammers Choir,
and then several people even attempted some karaoke singing of their own! What a nice evening of relaxing and laughing!
LOWC to help with LO Reads
For many years, the Lake Oswego Women's Club has volunteered
their time (and a small amount of money) to help the Lake Oswego Reads
program. On Friday, February
26th from 4:30 to 8:00 pm, members of LOWC will join together to help
decorate for the event, welcome participants, take tickets, serve dessert, and
clean up. Please contact Lisa Rainer to sign up. We hope you are able to help us with this fun local community event. We will contact the volunteers with more details. Also, if anyone would like to take the lead on this event, please let me know...it should be an easy one!

40th Anniversary Lake Run

The Lake Run team held their monthly meeting on Jan 5th. It was great to get together and get to know each other better. Such a fun group of Ladies! We covered several subjects and have owners for more of our key areas. Thank these ladies for stepping up!

Abby's Closet Update
On January 26th at 6 pm, we will need to finish packaging our jewelry for Abby's Closet. Location will be at Fran's house. Please RSVP no later than January 20th to Fran Herbert.
We hope to get a date on the calendar soon to help Abby's Closet do some unpacking of the prom dresses and to present them with the jewelry we made. This is a fun work party so we hope you can join us! Details will be provided later.
