Children's Center says,
Dear Lake Oswego Women’s Club members –
As many of you know, LOWC has been a generous partner to Children’s Center for more than seven years. In 2010, LOWC made a bold pledge of $25,000 ($5,000/year x 5 years) to help build a new Children’s Center facility with increased capacity to serve children who are suspected victims of abuse and neglect. Each of you became part of an exclusive club of donors known as our Foundations of Hope.
Your club commitment was generous and extraordinary. And throughout the years, you’ve never wavered on your pledge payments. You represent the leaders our children and families need – people who will stand up on their behalf and demand quality care and a respectful response. Because of your pledge, your ongoing giving, and your continued involvement, we know we are not alone in this work. And our children and families are not alone on their path to healing – they have each of you walking beside them.
We hope that the completion of your Foundations of Hope commitment does not end there, but rather marks the beginning of a new level of leadership. There are ongoing opportunities to volunteer, to be part of the effort to end child abuse in Clackamas County, to keep kids safe, and so much more. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Children’s Center staff, volunteers, and most important, our children and families, thank you.
Sincerely,
Shauna Lugar

LOWC & CASA - Benefit Concert
On August 15th, LOWC was the presenting sponsor for a CASA benefit concert at Marylhurst University. Several LOWC members were present and handed out informational flyers and bubbles to the kids.
Your LOWC president was the lucky winner of an electric guitar as part of the raffle fundraiser and was forced to 'grace' the stage. Lots of fun was had by all and CASA was happy to raise even more money in support of their cause.
