What an amazing Summer!!

Ladies, welcome to the 2015/2016 year of the Lake Oswego Women's Club.  For those of you who don't know me, my name is Lisa Rainer.  I'll be the LOWC President for the year.  I would like to meet and talk with each of you if possible so please don't hesitate to introduce yourselves at any of our events.  I encourage you to attend as many LOWC meetings and events as you can to really get the most out of our organization.  It is a truly special role we play, to raise and donate thousands of dollars every year to numerous charities while creating a sense of community and sisterhood.  Thanks to all of you for being with us this year!

Below is a 2 month event calendar.  Please note that individual committee meetings will not be listed on this calendar as they will be arranged and communicated with each committee as needed. Details about some of these events are listed further down.

Events Calendar:

• Aug 15th at 6:30pm - CASA Benefit Concert at Marylhurst University
• Aug 26th at 6:30pm - Westlake Park Concert (look for a blue balloon)
• Sept 3rd at 7pm - Board Meeting at Joan Hutchinson's home
• Sept 10th at 7pm - Book Club Meeting at Sharon Callen's home
• Sept 13th from 1-3pm - LOWC's "Meet and Greet" at Oswego Pointe Condominiums (optional: bring a bottle of wine for the Fashion Show wine wall)
• Sept 16th at 11:30pm - Lunch Social at Nicoletta's Table (RSVP is requested, click Annie Arkebauer)
• Sept 24th at 11am - 15th Annual Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show at Oswego Lake Country Club

CASA Benefit Concert - August 15th - TONIGHT!!

Since LOWC has committed to a $5000 donation to CASA for our 2015/2016 year, we will be the "Presenting Sponsor" of their summer fundraising concert coming up on August 15th from 6:30-9:30 pm at Marylhurst University.  Please invite your friends and family and say "Hi" to us at the LOWC table.  Bring a picnic dinner, enjoy the music and even dance if you would like.  Pizza, shaved ice and door prizes will also be available for purchase.  Feel free to print and distribute the attached flyer.

Westlake Park Concert - August 26th
This is another fun Summer social event.  Bring a picnic dinner or picnic items to share, a blanket and/or sand chairs and refreshing drinks (Yes! You can bring wine with plastic cups). Look for the "blue balloon" at Westlake Park the evening of August 23rd at 6:30 pm.  Radical Revolution will be playing 80's dance tunes, so bring your dancing flip flops too!

Meet and Greet - September 13th

Our first "Meet and Greet" for potential new LOWC members will be held on September 13th (Sunday) at Oswego Pointe Condominum Club House.  The address is 5033 Foothills Rd., LO, from 1-3 pm. We will have light refreshments.

RSVPs are highly encouraged. To RSVP, just click Toniya 

Members hopefully you will encourage friends, relatives, work buddies, etc. to join our organization.  Also, we are still looking for donations, so please bring a bottle of wine to this Meet and Greet for the Fashion Show Wine Wall.  Thank you!

Fabulous Fall French Fashion Show

The fashion committee members, Pauline, Toniya, Kelly, Scottie, Annie and Ann are enjoying working lunches. Kudos to all these ladies who have done a splendid job again this year. Now it is your turn to buy your tickets on LOWC’s website and invite friends to join you. This is our second biggest fund raiser for the club and our charities need your help. Thank you for your generosity!

LOWC's Artist


Kelly Heard, an LOWC artist, has generously painted the art below and is donating the artwork to our silent auction! We are also using her image for the invitations so be watching the mail for your special invitation.

Fashion Show by Mela and Humbug Jewelry

We have secured Mela, a lovely shoe and apparel boutique located in Lake Oswego Village to put on our fabulous fashion show that will satisfy all of our fashionistas. Our Fashion Committee will be modeling this year! Come watch the fun! HumbleBug Jewelry will be the jewelry designer featured in the show.  

Silent Auction

We will have several silent auction items that you can bid on or if you choose, you may buy them out right. Below is a sampling of some of the items so be sure to bring your checkbooks or credit cards because you will not want these to slip away. More items are coming in daily!

Adorable French decorations and presents await you at the tables this year including a darling bag from Sephora!

Wine Wall
We will have wine bottles in lovely French country bags that you may purchase for $20.00. But here is the best part, the donated wine bottles range from $15.00 to over $75.00 a bottle. It is all for our wonderful charities!  We are still looking for donations, so please bring a bottle of wine to donate to the Fashion Show Wine Wall at the concerts, Meet & Greet or the Board meeting.

I do not know what more the fashion committee can say to entice you. We all look forward to seeing you at the show on Sept. 24th at Oswego Lake Country Club at 11 AM. So many delights await you!!
