All members are highly encouraged to attend.  We must have a quorum to approve the slate of officers for next year, to approve the distribution of funds to our charities and scholarship recipients and to advance our provisionals to active members.

Attendees will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Starbuck's gift card.  Must be present to win!

Who will we give to besides Children’s Center, CASA, and Clackamas Women’s Services?

        How many scholarships will be presented?

                Who will be on the board leading us next year?

Come to the meeting to find out!  We need your vote to approve!

Driving directions: Starting from downtown LO at A Avenue, head south on State Street and turn left (east) onto Foothills Rd.  If you are coming from the opposite direction on State Street, turn right (east) onto Foothills Rd. (just past the Starbucks complex).   Follow the road around to the left.  The immediate big sign is for the Oswego Pointe Apts......Do not enter there!   Continue past the power station to the stop sign and turn right onto Foothills Drive.  Shortly down the hill, take the first left and then a quick left into the parking lot in front of the Oswego Pointe sign at the clubhouse.  The room we are in is called "Riverside Room".

We need you….to join the LOWC board

LOWC provides monetary support to the amazing charities we partner with.  In order for us to sustain this club and continue supporting these wonderful charities, we need your help!! The board works hard but has fun too!  Please consider joining the LOWC board so that we can continue this wonderful organization the way we have been for the last 39 years!  If you have any questions or are ready to take on an open position, please contact DeLoris. 

Lake Run 2015 - A Huge Success!

Many publications including the LO Review, Lake Oswego & West Lake Living and LO Neighbors, did a great job helping us get the word out to the community about the Lake Run.  We were also well supported by business and organizations that hosted our posters in their windows.  Its wonderful to have the community involved and participating in the Lake Run.

The best story from the 39th Lake Run comes from the family of Kay Eden, a 90 year old woman and 5k Lake Run participant.  She lost her husband of 69 years in January and started doing daily walks around Lake Oswego as a way to get outside and get her strength back. She decided she wanted to try to do Lake Run's 5K so 11 members of her family signed up and all walked with her.  The family appreciated that there were many great volunteers along the route encouraging her as they went by. Kay was so happy and overcome with emotion when she crossed the finish line - the family was all very proud of her.  Kay Eden was acknowledged at the awards ceremony and presented a medal for her achievement.

There are no words that can express how grateful I am to have such amazing people on my team and those that contributed to the success of the Lake Run this year.

I feel very proud being a member of the Lake Oswego's Women's Club.  I hope every one of you feels the same way. You are all amazing women!  WE DID AWESOME!!  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

We have received only positive feedback so far so it seems that everyone had fun.  Nothing can dampen the excitement and pride we should all feel.  Enormous effort, countless hours, hurt feelings and forgiveness, missed family events, jumping through hoops at the last minute to make it all happen.  This only touches the things we put aside to accomplish this event.

Some of you are saying great job Fran......I want you to look in the mirror and see the one you should really thank!  Well done, Ladies!
