The Fashion Show
We have secured a fabulous couture line of clothing for our Fashion Show. The Tom James Company, a high end fashion company based in New York, will be providing the Carlisle Collection which is a perfect fit for our Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme. The line has couture dresses, suits and separates all made from fabrics sourced from couture textiles in England, France and Italy (the same mills used by Chanel and Prada). So Audrey!  Read more information on our Fashion Show website pages. Our very own LOWC women will be modeling this year, salon style, so you can see all the gorgeous outfits up close.

The Luncheon

Summer Concert Celebrating 40 years of LOWC

LOWC Celebrates 40 Years with Music in the Park!!!

Everyone loves music, and music is the common language amongst us all.  It frees our spirit and opens our heart. It's summertime, and the last thing we want to do is sit in a meeting, so lets all get outdoors in this beautiful Northwest summer weather to attend a summer park concert together.

Pack your picnic baskets and let's all meet outdoors so our hearts and souls can dance!!  Feet may engage as well. All are welcome:  So bring your spouse, children, or friends.

The band playing is:   "Hit Machine". It will be a blast! It will be held at Westlake Park in Lake Oswego, on August 27th at 7 pm.

CASA Golf Tournament - September 15th

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is having their golf tournament fundraiser. It will be held at the Oswego Lake Country Club, on Monday, September 15th. If you can volunteer from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, please contact me at membership@lowomensclub.org. We will be working the registration table and checking in golfers for the event.

Child Advocates (CASA's) provide trained community volunteers to advocate for children in cases where they have been placed in foster care. This is another great way for us to support them, by giving them some of our time. They are also in need of golfers. The tournament is a 4-person scramble. For additional information on the tournament, please visit their website:  http://www.casa-cc.org

LO Farmer's Market - Recruiting

Thanks to the help of Denise Smith, Jackie Medecki, Sheri Rathbun, Fran Herbert, Minita Feldsien, Gaby Gardner, Jane Luby and Kelly Heard, a booth was set up at the Farmer's Market. Lots of women came by to learn the basics of our club and all were invited to our next Friendraiser on August 10th. Another huge thank you goes to Lisa Rainer for coordinating the event.

First Friendraiser a success!

Beautiful summer evening outdoors, great friends and delicious food.  What could make it better?  New women joining the LOWC!

New membership is off and running!  A big thank you to Karen and Steve Norgaard for opening up their home, to host our first friendraiser on July 25th. An additional thank you to all the members that showed up with wine and appetizers, and shared their insight on our organization. There were 8 interested women in attendance, which resulted in a few of them joining that evening.

The second friend raiser was held today, in form of a brunch. An Evite was sent out to the membership and guests.

As a reminder, if you know of anyone that would be a great candidate for our organization, or is interested, please send their name to membership@lowomensclub.org.

2015 Lake Run Planning Started

Even though it is a long time until the 2015 Lake Run, we are getting a few things accomplished.

  • The application to reserve Millennium Plaza for next year's run has been turned into the City of LO.
  • We have confirmed the services of the timing and race registration companies for next year.
  • Our Lake Run Logo is near completion.
  • We already have one paid sponsor and two in the wings.
  • On track for success!
