Friendraisers - Evites Sent!

Friendraiser one is set for Friday, July 25th. 

Second Friendraiser is set for Sunday, August 10th.  Both "evites" were sent out.  Please RSVP as soon as you can.

An on-line sign up sheet (via perfect potluck) was sent out for the friend raisers for anyone that can bring a dish. 

Star Spangled Parade!

We had the opportunity to celebrate in the Star Spangled 4th of July Parade, while honoring our men/women in the military who keep us independent and free.  Bags were filled with party favors and candy, to hand out to spectators.

A big THANK YOU to Garlinn Story, Lisa Rainer, Sheri Rathbun, Jane Luby, Denise Smith, Jeri Parrot, Annie Arkebauer, Chris Bonney, Virginia Rubin, Pauline Decker, Fran Herbert and Karen Schneider, for spending your July 4th for this project.

Basket Beauties

Have you marked down September 25th for our 14th Annual Fashion Show? A save the date card will be going out soon and you will also be able to purchase your tickets on line through our webpage toward the end of July. This will be a sold out affair at Oswego Lake Country Club so be watching LOWC's website for more information.

The fashion committee (Kelly, Minita, Pauline, Scottie and Denise) all met and even Audrey's head was spinning with all the fabulous ideas and energy in the room!

Toniya met with Sheri and Audrey even got to come along to discuss the "Active Basket".  Toniya is orchestrating a "Food and Wine" basket and needs all the actives to contribute items relating to wine (minimum $15.00 bottle) and food. You can contact Toniya Villalobos (just click on Toniya's name to send her an email) or call her at 503.784.9235 to make a contribution.  

Audrey even made it up to the Hood River Lavender Farm and talked with the 

owner  who was getting ready for her 10th Annual Lavender Daze Festival held on July 19th and 20th. She generously offered to donate items for our "Relaxation Basket". Since lavender has a calming effect Audrey was in a soporific trance riding home.

We will be posting a sneak preview of our raffle baskets on the webpage in July. It's not too late for you to contact Sheri Rathbun (just click on Sheri's name to send her an email). Abby's Closet Update

We are making great progress in our effort to make Prom Jewelry for Abby's Closet. Our skills are increasing and we are making some very beautiful pieces. Abby's Closet requested 100 pieces of jewelry. We have made 86 so far.  We are meeting once a month and having a fun time while doing good for others. We can just see the smile on that young lady's face when she finds the perfect piece of jewelry that matches her gown.
