Friendraisers - Save the dates!
I am so excited to take on another year as Membership Chair. Yet another huge thank you to last year's Provisionals (now installed as active members), in making this last year so exciting! And an even a larger thank you to all the active members for your support.
It's that time of year (again), when we start thinking about new members. If you know of anyone interested in joining, please forward all potential names to me. As a reminder, potential members may also go to our website and send an email directly to me at membership@lowomensclub.org, or may immediately join our club by filling out our on-line application.
We have our first Friendraiser set for Friday, July 25th. Details will follow via an "evite", however please mark your calendars for now. Also an on-line sign up sheet will be forthcoming for anyone considering bringing a dish. Our second Friendraiser is also set. That date is Sunday, August 10th.
I am looking forward to seeing you all over the summer!!

Audrey Sightings in Europe
Audrey has just returned from a lovely trip to London and Paris. She enjoyed riding the double decker bus around London. She saw the home she lived in with her Mom in Mayfair when she first moved to London after the war and she even went into the Claridge Hotel where she did her first screen test for Roman Holiday. She had to travel light on this trip which was challenging since she usually brings 52 suitcases! She also could not smoke her usual 2-3 packs of cigarettes a day because smoking is not allowed in public places in Europe today but she did have her usual Scotch a day.

Audrey was very excited to take the Chunnel to Paris and she was able to go to her favorite place in Paris~Angelina's Tea Salon. She ordered the white chocolate tea and sipped it for an hour. She was even allowed to go behind the counter and help customers select macaroons. She told all the Parisiennes about the LOWC Fashion Show in September and invited them all to come to our event. She did not get to stay in her usual Hotel Raphael because there were no rooms available but did enjoy shopping along the Champs-Elysees.

These ladies showed up to our dirty storage unit on a miserable day and worked their butts off for 2 hours. They took everything out of the storage unit, eliminated, consolidated and organized and then put things back into the storage unit. Some hauled things home for future work parties and others made a run to the recycle facilities and goodwill. Because of them, the LOWC storage unit is more organized and actually has a little bit of room to spare! It was not a glamorous job, but it was much needed. Thank You so much ladies! That is above and beyond the call of duty!
If anyone has any question about what IS in the storage unit. Just ask one of these ladies. They will know!
