Diamond Earrings Winner Announced

And the winner of our gorgeous Diamond earrings was Garlinn Story, Chair of our Philanthropy committee. Congrats Garlinn!  

The final sales totaled 43 tickets earning $2150 to go towards our Luncheon/Fashion show total!  The Final overall earnings for our event was a wonderful $5007.39, which was fabulous since our 2012 total was just over $1900! All of the proceeds will go towards our philanthropy fund, which as you all know, is a wonderful cause to support. 

Our 2014 Fashion Show chair is Sheri Rathbun and she is already working on some great things for next year’s event so watch for more details in upcoming blogs!

Meals on Wheels Service

A huge thank you to Gaby Gardner, Pauline Decker and Kelly Heard, for donating their time by handing out cards and getting the word out for Meals On Wheels. Their smiles were much appreciated by the Lambs’s Palisades Market customers as they were reminded that for as little as $3.95, a dinner to a homebound senior can be purchased. Made With Love - Ronald McDonald House

Brunch at the Ronald McDonald House?  6 Provisional Chefs in Training said “YES”!  

Gaby Gardner, Minita Feldsien, Karen Noordgard, Jane Luby, Karen Schneider and Jackie Medecki woke up extra early Sunday morning as if they were preparing for Santa on Christmas Day.  

They all weathered the cold on December 8^th to prepare brunch for the residence at one of the Ronald McDonald houses.  They were energetically preparing an egg casserole with green chiles (and some without), sausage, bacon, fruit salad, southern pecan waffles, banana caramel pancakes and plain pancakes with fresh blueberry compote.  

As delicious as all that sounds, the real treat was watching the families thoroughly enjoy the heartfelt feast.  The care, consideration and love that was baked into each dish equaled in knowledge of knowing that we helped families in their time of need.  Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon provides a “home away from home” for families with seriously ill children.  

Thank you Ronald McDonald, as we took away more than we gave.

New Mexico Chili con queso:

One jar of hot green chili sauce from El Pinto in Albuquerque, mixed with large mixed bag of Mexican cheeses from Costco.  Heat for 3 hours in Crockpot and serve with warm tortilla chips.
