Lake Run Update and Volunteer Sign Ups
The LAKE RUN is only eleven days away! As of this afternoon we have 568 registered participants, 30 sponsors, 30 vendors for the Family Fun Festival AND...drum roll please... $20,600 in sponsorship money!Diana and her committee have been working hard to make this event a success. Unless you are on the Lake Run Committee you should have signed up for a volunteer shift. This is a requirement for all active members and provisionals. If there is some extenuating circumstance that does not allow you to volunteer you must find a replacement. Please forward the email you received to allow your replacement to sign up in your place. Email Kris Coder at LRVolunteerCoordinator@lowomensclub.org to let Kris know the name of the person taking your place.
We're using VolunteerSpot to manage LOWC member volunteer shifts. You should have received email with the direct link to the Volunteer Spot signup page. If you cannot find that email, please follow the instructions below:
- Go to our website www.lowomensclub.org
- Click the link on our homepage for the VOLUNTEER signup (login required)
- Enter your email address: (You will NOT need to register an account on VolunteerSpot)
- Sign up! Choose your spots - VolunteerSpot will send you an automated confirmation and reminders. Easy!
- Click the red confirm button (you'll see it after you enter your t-shirt size and contact information).
Lastly, arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your shift to check in at the LOWC Booth and pick up your volunteer t-shirt. The shirt should be visible, layer.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the Lake Run and hoping this fabulous weather will join us too!

Spring into Social
Hi Ladies,
Spring is definitely here and my family is just loving this beautiful weather. By the time you read this we will have had our last Happy Hour at Manzana's! I am always amazed by how quickly the year seems to go and this one has been no different.
The Lake Run is just around the corner and I know it will be our best one yet. Diana and her team have worked so hard lets all remember to honor their hard work and sign up for our shift on race day. I look forward to seeing everyone there!!
I am having such fun playing with our grandson Max. If I thought I could get away with it I would post lots and lots of pictures! He is such a precious gift...
Have a wonderful May!

We have a wonderful group of women joining our club this year! That leads me to remind everyone to start asking your friends to attend a Friendraiser this summer to learn about LOWC. The Membership Committee will be at the LOWC booth all day during the Lake Run. Please bring friends by, and have them sign up to get information about the club. I look forward to meeting future LOWC women!
Enjoy this sunny warm weather, and keep it coming all the way through the Lake Run!!

Three Thank You's from the Secretary
And that means than thank-you's are long overdue.
So a heartfelt Thank-You to Robin Tremayne and Kathleen Ellman for each scribing minutes at a meeting. And I can't forget the debt of gratitude I owe Lisa Rainer for filling in for me multiple times this winter! You juggled your own VP duties at the meetings and still managed to take lucid notes. Kudos!
If you three hadn't shown the leadership of stepping up when needed, the secretarial obligations---officially required per our bylaws---would have fallen by the wayside. THANK YOU!
Looking forward to seeing all of you at the Lake Run!
Johanna McCormick
Secretary
ONE MORE round of gratitude to Robin Tremayne! She has offered to take Minutes---again---for the General meeting in May! I'm sure I speak for Lisa Rainer as well as myself when I say "THANK YOU!!!!"
