April Meeting Thursday, April 18 

9:30 am Social Time and 10:00 am Meeting.  Please mark your calendar for the next General Meeting scheduled for Thursday morning, April 18. This month’s meeting will be held at the new Babica Hen Café in Lake Grove. The address for Babica Hen Café is 15964 Boones Ferry Rd Lake Oswego, 97035. Coffee or breakfast available for purchase and will be served in the separate meeting room reserved for our group. Hope to see you there.

Leadership Opportunities

The Nominating Committee is still seeking members to fill the following open board positions:


President – The President facilitates the communications and coordination among the board positions, helps organize board and general meetings and provides a face for our clubs’ unified effort. The position of president requires a member who has served one year as a provisional and one year as a voting board member prior to beginning the presidential term.

Vice President – The Vice President assists the President in any way possible and acts on behalf of the President when the President is not available.

Treasurer – The Treasurer handles all of the clubs financial matters including balancing our books, staying in touch with our accountant as needed, check writing and budget reporting.

Secretary – The Secretary is in charge of taking the minutes at the board and general meetings, as well as submitting the minutes for review and approval at the meetings.  This position works closely with the all board positions to ensure that information is recorded accurately on behalf of the club.

Communications/Technology Chair – The Tech-Comm Chair is in charge of managing the club database, directory information, LOWC website, social media, email, and the club blog.  This position requires above average computer software skills along with knowledge of data import and export, basic HTML, familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for mail merge, and an ability to troubleshoot software issues independently. It is important that the person in this roll be able to reach out to each of the other chair positions to gather information and assist other chairs with computer related tasks.

Poker Party

Our next party is Poker Night at my house on April 20th.  Please email me if you'd like to be added to the list along with your husband, boyfriend, or friend.  It is a really fun night and last year we didn't stop until 1:30 am when somebody finally checked their watch!  That's how much fun we were having.
