A Particularly Playful Pajama Party!!
A fun time was had in our pjs on Friday, January 18. We spent the evening talking and laughing while drinking the signature cocktail of the event - Doug's Chocolate Martini. Doug, the bartender and host husband, was always a shout away to keep our glasses full. We had plenty of healthy nibble food, along with some that was not so healthy, but very delicious...tacos in a bag.Music played in the background while we enjoyed a little singing, some dance moves, and lots of laughter. My friend Sarah Colarchik, massage therapist and owner of Sachi Wellness Center in West Linn, was kind enough to provide each of us a complimentary chair massage. We all enjoyed that bit of heaven! It was a great evening for me, and all who came... De Loris Scherschligt, Lori Malone, Robin Tremayne, Lisa Rainer,Tracey Freeman, Lilly Pacioni, and Julie Islitzer. Thank you girls for making our PJ night fun, and successful.
This event was a "party board" intend to raise operational funds for our club. More party boards are happening soon, see the next blog for a complete list of upcoming party boards.

LOWC Meetings
Thank you to LOWC President Denise Smith for hosting the January 17th General Meeting at her home. In addition to a lively social conversation over coffee and treats, we heard committee reports and learned about the many new exciting changes regarding the 2013 Lake Run. Our special guest speaker was Tracy Smith from Tualatin School House Pantry. Thank you to our members that brought dozens and dozens of rolls of toilet paper to donate to the Pantry.
Please mark your calendars for the next General Meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 21 7:00pm. See the LOWC website for details.

Schoolhouse Supplies was founded in 1999 as a way to support students and teachers throughout the Portland Public Schools by giving students and teachers free classroom supplies. They operate the state’s only volunteer-run “Free Store” where teachers can access classroom supplies to continue to support the learning process for all students. In the last decade, Schoolhouse has served over 130 schools and provided an estimated retail value of more than $15.4 million dollars in school supplies. All of this would not be possible without the generous contributions from leading businesses and strong public support for supply drives.
